Launch Fishing
- Launch fishing is Mille Lacs Lake's equivalent
to charter fishing on the ocean. Mille Lacs is one of the few Minnesota lakes big enough
to accommodate launches. These group fishing boats range in size from 25 to 73 feet and
hold from six to 50 people. Many resorts around the lake carry on the 70-year old
tradition, offering morning, afternoon and evening departures with half-day, full-day and
night options. Single group charters are available as well as walk-on launch trips for
singles, couples, families and other groups. There is no need to bring your own equipment
as most launches furnish bait, tackle and advice. Fun is standard on every trip.Mille Lacs
